Behind The Lens
One of the questions that we often receive is who are we and why have we chosen to provide photography services. So we thought we would use this section to introduce ourselves.
We are Steve and Lisa Vasquez, a married couple that shares the love of the art of photography. This love for photography has grown and developed over the years watching our four children grow up, play sports, move on to college and go through the various stages of life. There was rarely an event that we weren't armed with our Canon cameras and ready to hit the shutter button. As we honed our skills, took photography training, and practiced our technique, other parents and observers noticed our passion and talent for photography, and in time it became obvious that the next step in our photography adventure was to open our own small family owned photography business.
By trade, I (Steve) am a Probation Officer and Lisa is a Physicians Assistance. We have continued our established professions while we run our family business, as it affords us the ability to keep our photography services more affordable to our clients, allows us to be selective of where we provide our services, allows us to keep the fire and passion for our photography, and allows us to select clients that have the same goals as us. In the end, we can give you the time and attention you deserve to insure that your picture taking experience is enjoyable, fun and you get results you are happy with.
So why do we have such a passion and enjoy the art of photography? Quite frankly, we believe that capturing life's most beautiful moments is our contribution to other's happiness. Of course as part of our service, we can take pictures of the standard poses and essentials for special events; however, we believe that the true story of the moment is to be captured when pictures are unexpected. It's being ready to snap a picture when the bride is away from the wedding party and she privately, and lovingly, takes a glance down at her new wedding ring. It's having the camera ready when your child hits their first home run, or scores their first goal, and they jump with excitement and proudly smile as the round the bases. It's capturing Grandma and Grandpa holding hands, and affectionately looking at each other, as their children and grandchildren are being posed for the family picture. Lisa and I love capturing these moments, and sharing in your happiness, knowing that your picture will be loved and cherished as you remember the details of why the picture was taken.
